We went to the Kazuri Bead Factory this morning. We were taken on a great tour to see how all their jewellery and pottery is made. This factory was established back in the 70's to provide employment for single mothers who were very poor. | After a trip to their store for some shopping, we were off to the Giraffe Centre to visit the giraffes! Leah was in heaven!! There were 10 giraffes at the centre and a few were really friendly! |
A big highlight is how the students have been doing! We are heading into our fifth class of grade 8's to write the National exam. Over the last four years our average scores have been rising; 295, 296, 302 and last year - 340! Total enrolment is 350, up from 288 last year.
