It was discovered in our travels around the Kigeme area in our early years, that there was no qualified, university trained veterinarian south of the main city of Kigali.  People doing the job had either a high school education or the start of formal training.  It was decided in communication with the authorities in the area that one person would be choses to complete the program and return to the area to help the local farmers.

Felicien - a local Kigeme Pastor was chosen to enter Veterinary Medicine.  He is presently in his 3rd year of study which began in January 2011.

Fees for his study are approximately $4000 USD / year. 


By training a veterinarian, and giving them the tools to increase production, we are assisting Rwandans to help themselves.
