Another fantastic day!!  We headed out to Tumaini and spent time outside the school playing with the kids!!  They are so friendly and funny and were quick to sing us songs!  The young ones also spent a great deal of time touching our white skin, and laughing at Sandra's freckles!

These uniforms were donated this year by Trail Bay Source for Sports in Sechelt, BC!  The kids loved them and quickly put them on to model.  We were only able to keep them still for a short time to get this picture taken and then the game began!!

Our next big adventure for the day was to take a few of our sponsored students out for ice cream - an important field trip!!!

Pictured here from left to right are; Faith (Rachael's student), her best friend Quivaline (Sponsored by the School Board office of SD #46), Faith's little sister Joy, Wilson (sponsored by the Hunt family of Gibsons) and his little brother Timothy (sponsored by Carolyn), and the biggest kid of all, Rachael!!!

Carolyn taking ice cream from a kid!! Luckily, Faith protected her ice cream valiantly and Carolyn was out of luck!

John, our driver and friend, caught off guard while waiting for his ice cream to "warm up"!

Our next adventure involved a trip out to Karen, a suburb of Nairobi. There, we were fortunate enough to visit the Kazuri Bead Factory. Here, we saw the entire process of making clay bead jewellery and pottery- from dirt to gorgeous finished product. More shopping!!!!
(Mom- please, please send more money FAST- so we can get home! Wahaha)
