Day 2 - living Kids Educational Centre

Day 2 was spent at the Living Kids Educational Centre. This is the school we've been helping to find grant money for so they can build their new school building. We arrived and were greeted by smiling faces and very excited children.

There are 150 students in the school, from 3 year olds (baby class) to grade 5. All classes are now in the first two levels of the building!!

We were treated to some great entertainment! Rachael has requested dance lessons from the students- man, can they move!!

Afterwards we were treated to lunch! Then off to the market! Wow, can Rachael bargain!!

We came home and had a relaxing evening! Tried to blog, but we're having internet issues!

We are up early today to head out to Western Kenya to the area where Johnstone is from. We will explore farms, talk to farmers and see where Rachael might be able to help out!! The next day we will visit some of our secondary students in their schools!

We are unsure of what the Internet will be like, so if we don't blog you will know why!!

Hope you have a good journey! Sounds like your days are packed! Hope the rest of your wayward bags are found. All those happy faces just must fill you with amazing energy :-)

It is wonderful and exciting to see the difference that you are able to make to students in Africa. Inspirational! (...and the shirts and shorts look amazing on the proud children.)
