We said goodbye to Esther and Johnstone this morning!!  We had such a great time staying with them, we so appreciated their hospitality!
Johnstone took us to the airport for 6:30 am and we managed to get our bags checked and through all the 'hoops' and made it to our gate as the plane was boarding!  No time to explore the new airport - looked great though!
The flight was great (nice and short) and we arrived in Kigali with ALL our bags!  We were met by our friends and were taken for tea, then to exchange money and then off for the drive south to Kigeme.
We had been led to believe that we wouldn't be able to stay in Kigeme due to the guest house being taken over; however, we arrived to find they had taken a house and fixed it up for us to use!  There is still a fresh paint smell, and additional hooks and  mirrors etc being put up as we were unpacking.  We are thrilled!  We are close to everything we need and among great friends!  Chrysostome (our main contact here in Kigeme and good friend) and his family live right next door!  His beautiful daughter has already come calling!  We have had a number of visitors, friends coming to say hello - been a great afternoon / evening!  The Bishop and Mrs. Bishop just left!
We have just finished some dinner and Rachael is busy prepping for tomorrow morning - she and the rest of the Food Security Team will meet with the Paravets for some training. We will also find out the rest of our schedule. Knowing our Kigeme friends, it will be jam packed as usual!
We are excited to be back in our second home!!
